Isreali psytance duo Infected Mushroom are bringing their hard hitting live band to Governor’s Beach Club this summer on August 4th for first time the full live band has been in New York City in several years. The producers formed the band back in 2004, prior to the release of IM the Supervisor, in order to perform tracks like ‘Cities of the Future’ in all of their heavy metal influenced glory.

The live band weaves in and out of songs throughout the group’s legendary history, built through a career spanning over 15 years. Their 2000 album, Classical Mushroom, is considered one of the finest in the psytance genre, and they continue to innovate, even with their latest album, Army Of Mushrooms, which features a wide range of influences – everyting from a Foo Fighters cover to dubstep tracks. But Infected Mushroom haven’t forgotten their psytrance roots, their latest EP, Friend of Mushrooms, featured several collaborations with friends within the genre.

Regardless of how you know Infected Mushroom, their live band shows are a rare treat – a completely different way to hear the music. Last time these guys were in New York, they almost tore down Brooklyn Bowl with a DJ set. Literally, the crowd rioted the stage, turning it into an all out dance party. I wouldn’t want to miss what goes down with the whole band involved.

Infected Mushroom hits up Governors Beach Club on Sunday, August 4th. Doors open at 4pm, and the event is 18+ to enter, 21+ to dirnk. Tickets are on sale now, here.
