Life is tough for the people of Italy at the moment. The European country, currently in a nationwide lockdown, has been hit very hard with confirmed cases of the global COVID-19 pandemic which has completely halted the live entertainment industry both in Europe and here in North America.

While everyday citizens are finding ways to keep themselves and their loved ones entertained while abiding by the nationwide quarantine laws currently in place, musicians are taking it upon themselves to provide their neighbors with a soundtrack to their day by way of live performances from their balconies.

One such musician is guitarist Enrico Monti, who is wowing his neighbors in addition to fans online with his balcony shredding sessions. In self-shot videos that have since gone viral, Monti showcases his chops with renditions of music made popular by rock bands like Queen and Slayer.

In the videos below, Monti, who performs in the Italian death-metal band Skulld, sends the notes from his ESP electric guitar and a Vox MV50 AC mini-amp through a 1×12 cab through the air and into the homes of his neighbors. Contrary to what might be considered a nuisance if these were normal times, the locals approve of Monti’s public display of shredding with applause from apartment buildings nearby.
