Jack White has announced two new albums set for release in 2022, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive. The 12-time Grammy-award winner has also shared a new music video for his latest single, “Taking Me Back“.
Fear of the Dawn, the first of White’s two, 2022 full-length albums will arrive on April 8th via Third Man Records. Less than four months later, on July 22nd, the Third Man owner and co-founder will release yet another LP, Entering Heaven Alive. April’s Fear of the Dawn will mark White’s first solo album since 2018’s Boarding House Reach and his first full-length studio output since The Raconteurs‘ Help Us Stranger in 2019

Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive are both available for pre-order now here and here, respectively. In addition to black vinyl, White and Third Man Records have also produced five limited-edition variants that are up for pre-order here. The variants include a midnight blue vinyl version with a screen printed jacket, available only to Third Man Records Vault Members in the Vault Novelties store, an astronomical blue vinyl at select independent record stores, a moon glow white vinyl available at Target, and a split moon glow white and astronomical blue LP with an 11″ x 11″ screen printed poster and Third Man Records compilation CD at Rough Trade Records. A variant of Fear of the Dawn will also be available at Urban Outfitters, which will arrive with an exclusive slip mat.
White will announce details on digital pre-orders for both albums and vinyl variants for Entering Heaven Alive at a later date.
In celebration of this momentous occasion, White has also released the official music video for “Taking Me Back“, a single initially shared in mid-October. “Taking Me Back” originally arrived paired with a lyric video for the recent Call of Duty: Vanguard video game, alongside a gentler, folk version of the single, “Taking Me Back (Gently)”. The former will appear as the opening track on Fear of the Dawn, with the latter closing out July’s Entering Heaven Alive.
