Jack White has announced that he will reconvene one of his former projects, The Raconteurs, for a new album slated for release 2019. The Raconteurs consists of White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler. The new album will mark The Raconteur’s first release in more than a decade, serving as a follow-up to 2008’s Consolers of the Lonely.
The news of a new album from The Raconteurs comes along with the announcement that White’s Third Man Records will release a special 10th-anniversary reissue of Consolers of the Lonely, marketed as the 38th installment in their Vault Package series. The new reissue box set will also include a 7″ vinyl featuring two new recently recorded songs from the group, which will serve as the foundation for the upcoming album.
Notes the announcement press release, “That’s right, they’re not giving you track titles or even letting your hear a snippet of these two tracks. You’ll have to wait until this package hits your doorstep. The time for you all to get pretty dang excited about what is to come next year begins right… NOW!”
The Raconteurs’ Consolers of the Lonely Vault Package will be pressed in copper foil metallic LPs, and will mark the first time the double album will be released on colored vinyl. In addition, the new Vault Package will include reimagined cover art, an embroidered “R” insignia patch, and a set of four 2.5″ brushed silver stickers featuring variations of the Consolers of the Lonely art. The package will be available to members of Third Man’s The Vault subscription service. The deadline to sign up for The Vault and receive this new deluxe reissue is October 31st at 12 a.m. Central Time. To sign up, head here.
