Jackie Greene Announces New Solo Album and Summer Tour

Celebrated guitarist Jackie Greene has announced his first new album in five years. Titled Back To Birth, the guitarist will release his new music on August 21st via Yep Roc Records.

The new album features 11 all-original tracks from Greene, and includes contributions from an all-star cast of Paul Rigby (guitar, mandolin, pedal steel guitar), Damian Erskine (bass), Reinhardt Melz (drums) and Jason Crosby (violin, string arrangements). Speaking about the album, Greene said, “Musically, this record is kind of a return to the simplicity that I started with, although I feel like I have a much better idea of what I’m doing now… I think the lyrics are the part that’s really evolved. A lot of these songs are looking at the notion of a cyclical existence, and the sense that life goes in a circle.”

Greene will tour extensively this summer, with his band Trigger Hippy and his solo band as well. Check out the tracklisting and tour schedule below:
