Jacob Collier has collaborated with Kimbra and Tarriona “Tank” Ball of Tank & The Bangas for his latest single, “In My Bones”, set to appear on his forthcoming studio album, Djesse Vol. 3.
The upbeat and high-powered funk track follows the album’s lead single, “Time Alone With You”, which featured Daniel Caesar.
“In My Bones” arrived on Wednesday in the form of an official music video that sees Collier and his collaborators depicted inside of an “Operation” game simulation, replete with choreographed skeletons, dancing, and a rapping robot.
In a press release, Collier said,
More than ever before, this is a time for celebration of our humanity, for understanding and empathy, for our communal creative energy to elevate people’s spirits and remind us of what life is about. Djesse Vol. 3 will mark the third installment in an epic four-volume series with which the London-based singer will use to traverse different sonic spaces along with well over 20 collaborators. Collier earned a Grammy for each of the previous two installments, Djesse Vol. 1 and Djesse Vol. 2, this past January.
