Saturday’s edition of the I So Lounging live stream series saw Amanda Shires and her co-host Kelly Garcia Plemmons invite their respective husbands Jason Isbell and Seth Plemmons to play several songs, including one by Radiohead, during a half-hour set.

The hosts kicked off the stream by telling viewers to comment requests in the chat before Shires launched into an acapella take on “Kudzu”, from her 2011 release, Carrying Lightning. Shires then introduced Isbell, Plemmons, and Plemmons’ dog Zeyk, before the “quartet” performed a Radiohead track, “High And Dry”, from the veteran rock group’s 1995 album, The Bends. Here, Isbell and Plemmons provided proper guitar work, backing Shires’ soaring vocals.

“This is day 16 of quarantine. Starting to feel a little funny,” Shires noted ahead of a rendition of the traditional blues track “Nobody Loves You When You’re Down And Out”. Isbell took lead vocals while Shires added harmonies with vocals and her fiddle on the Jimmy Cox-penned song. While “Nobody Loves You When You’re Down And Out” was originally popularized by Bessie Smith in the early 20th century, countless others have covered it—most notably John Lennon, Del McCoury, and Eric Clapton‘s Derek And The Dominoes.

After a quick Q&A session in which Isbell joked his favorite quarantine snack is “Cheetos and Tito’s,” the group closed out the stream with “Zeyk’s Blues”, played in the key of D, for “dog”. Watch the entire performance below and visit Shires’ YouTube channel for the latest streams.
