The Caverns have announced the launch of the Above Ground Concert Series, set to begin next month with a three-night run from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. The Pelham, TN concert space will host the Americana outfit above its iconic cave on the side of a hill October 9th–11th.

The concert comes after The Caverns pivoted from hosting underground concerts to giving guided tours of its world-famous natural rock formations. Last month, the host venue of PBS Bluegrass Underground announced that it would open its “Big Room Cave” to tours for the first time.

The concerts will see guests arrive in staggered times and enjoy the concerts from two, four, or six-person socially-distanced pods. The Caverns will follow all CDC protocols and ask attendees a short COVID-19 questionnaire as well as take their temperatures upon entry. While the concerts will occur on the hillside above the famous cave, fans will be able to go below the surface in order to use the restrooms. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs for this concert, and will be required to wear masks except when in their respective pods.
