On Thursday, despite some weather delays, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival got underway at the Fair Grounds Race Course to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The beauty of Jazz Fest is that the music truly never stops throughout the weekend. Luckily for fans unable to attend this year, Nugs.tv will be webcasting a series of Tipitina’s late-night performances throughout Jazz Fest for free!

Nugs.tv’s streams will begin on Thursday, April 25th beginning with Anders Osborne‘s Buddha & Blues album release party featuring Dave Malone and Amy Helm. Next, nugs.tv will offer up a webcast of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on Friday, April 26th, followed by a stream of Galactic’s performance on Saturday, April 27th. Saturday will also see a late-night performance by The M&Ms (John Medeski, Stanton Moore, Papa Mali, and Robert Mercurio). The final scheduled webcast will be of The Subdudes‘ performance on Sunday, April 28th.

In December, Galactic officially confirmed their purchase of Tipitina’s from longtime owner Roland Von Kurnatowski and his wife Mary. The reported plans to sell Tipitina’s came as Von Kurnatowski faces a number of lawsuits from investors surrounding bounced checks and unpaid debts totaling nearly $3M.

Nugs.tv notes that fans should stay tuned for more upcoming free webcast announcements.
