Decorated British singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra have announced a new studio album, From Out of Nowhere, which is set for release on November 1st via Columbia Records.

The 14th Electric Light Orchestra album and the second billed under Jeff Lynne’s ELO, From Out of Nowhere follows up the band’s 2015 release, Alone in the Universe.

From Out of Nowhere – that’s exactly where it came from,” Lynne explained in a press statement. “That’s the first one I wrote for this album, and it’s kind of like that.” He noted that he was aiming to spread optimism with both the song and album, adding, “Everybody’s got to have a bit of hope.”

Along with the new album announcement, Jeff Lynne’s ELO shared the title track, which fans can listen to below:

Jeff Lynne’s ELO recently concluded their second North American tour since 1981, which featured Dhani Harrison as an opening act, as well as a 2017 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Amazon pre-order notes Lynne played “nearly every note of the music on guitars, bass, piano, drums, keyboards and vibes, as well as sang all of the lead and layered harmony vocals. Steve Jay, who also engineered the album, added some percussion.”

Fans can head here to pre-order the band’s forthcoming From Out of Nowhere album.
