Wilco‘s Jeff Tweedy and his sons, Spencer and Sammy, have collaborated to create the soundtrack for HBO‘s forthcoming documentary, Showbiz Kids.

The film, available to stream beginning on July 14th at 9 p.m. ET, dives into the often-damaging effects that child acting has had on a number of thespians, including Matilda‘s Mara Wilson, E.T.‘s Henry Thomas, Jada Pinkett Smith, and many more. The film is directed by former child actor, and Bill and Ted star, Alex Winter.

In a trailer for the documentary, viewers are introduced to a variety of the film’s interview subjects as they have grown into adults. Meanwhile, in the background, a gentle guitar strums and gives the slightest inclination of Wilco-style instrumentalism. Then, as the trailer progresses and more former child actors give slices of their stories, Tweedy’s unmistakable voice comes into play with prescient lines like “something’s missing, in me” that carry his iconic intonations. The mere presence of Tweedy’s vocals gives off the impression that this won’t just be an ambient film soundtrack, but rather a well-rounded songwriting effort between father and sons.
