With the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum‘s weekend celebration of Jerry Garcia quickly approaching, the museum has revealed the daily schedule of activities and events, including performances by members of The Infamous Stringdusters, Kitchen Dwellers with special guest Lindsay Lou, the Sam Grisman Project, and late-night after-parties featuring The Tennessee Warblers.

The festivities kick off on the morning of Friday, November 22nd with open registration at 10:00 a.m. and guided tours through the Jerry Garcia: A Bluegrass Journey exhibit. This collection, housed within the Hall of Fame, invites attendees to trace the influences that informed Garcia’s unmistakable sound—from his early banjo-picking days to his reverence for bluegrass stalwarts like Bill Monroe. Afterward, guests can dive into the spirit of bluegrass firsthand during an afternoon jamming workshop, where musicians of all skill levels are encouraged to bring their instruments and experience the magic of communal jam sessions.

As the day unfolds, attendees will be treated to a screening of Festival Express (2003), the iconic rockumentary capturing the storied 1970 train tour across Canada that featured Garcia alongside Janis Joplin, The Band, and other icons. At 6:00 p.m., Andy Falco and Travis Book, both of The Infamous Stringdusters, will hit the stage with their Andy Falco & Travis Book play Jerry Garcia set interpreting Garcia’s beloved catalog with a fresh bluegrass twist.

Following Falco and Book, Fireside on the Mountain will see Travis Book return with special guests ahead of a set by the Sam Grisman Project at 8:30 p.m. But the night won’t end there. After the main stage quiets, The Tennessee Warblers will step in to extend the energy into the early hours of the morning with a rollicking after-party from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Saturday follows a similar rhythm, starting with tours of the exhibit and a midday jamming workshop. The afternoon spotlight shifts to The Grateful Dead Movie (1977), a cinematic ode to the band’s pivotal 1974 Winterland shows. Capturing Garcia at the height of his improvisational power, the film offers a bridge between his bluegrass roots and the improvisational rock that made him an icon.

Returning to the stage at 6:00 p.m., Falco and Book will reprise their tribute to Garcia, followed by another edition of Fireside on the Mountain, this time setting the stage for a highly anticipated performance by the Kitchen Dwellers, joined by special guest Lindsay Lou, at 8:30 p.m.

Capping the weekend will be a second round of late-night revelry courtesy of The Tennessee Warblers.

Whether you’re a devoted Deadhead, a bluegrass enthusiast, or simply a lover of live music, the celebration of Jerry Garcia promises a weekend steeped in the rich, communal spirit that Garcia himself cherished. Tickets are available now. View the full schedule below.
