Jim James, Chris Thile, Jontavious Willis, DJ Spooky, and more will participate in the second planned installment of the New York Guitar Festival‘s virtual tribute series to the late bluesman Reverend Gary Davis, event organizers announced last week.

The latest planned performances follow the virtual sets from Warren Haynes, Jorma Kaukonen, Fantastic Negrito, Sonia de los Santos, Larry Campbell with Teresa Williams, and more as part of the Reverend Gary Davis: In Search Of The Harlem Street Singer series that took place back in May.

The second installment of performances will broadcast daily at 4 p.m. ET beginning July 13th and running through July 19th via the New York Guitar Festival’s YouTube page. According to the announcement, DJ Spooky will launch part two of the ongoing series on July 13th with a very special discourse constructing the historical and social context of Rev. Gary Davis’ life, and his cultural and musical influences that remain salient today.

Fans can watch DJ Spooky’s virtual performance to open the second installment below beginning July 13th at 4 p.m. ET.

Other artists featured on the virtual performance schedule include Piedmont Blūz and Dave Bromberg.
