On Saturday, May 30th, over 70 artists and thousands of fans came together for Quarantine Comes Alive, a virtual music festival that raised over $150,000 for a litany of charities via the comprehensive PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The 15-hour live stream marathon featured virtual performances and never-before-seen videos by an array of artists from around the world including a two-song performance from Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, the self-described “Adult Semi-Spiritual Quasi-Secular Inspirational Post-Motown Folk Rock” outfit hailing from Michigan. Hertler and company began with a split-screen, full-band rendition of the uplifting “Last Two Dinosaurs Alive” (off 2019’s Paper Castle). Following the first tune, Joe Hertler greeted the QCA audience and introduced a solo, acoustic rendition of his cosmically-inspired “Voyager” over brightly-colored animation.

As Hertler told Live For Live Music, “I think all of us are craving live music more and more than every day—it’s how we connect and it’s how we stay connected. So mega shoutouts to the QCA crew for putting all of this together and giving us a reason to jam!”

If you enjoyed the performance, Joe asks that you make a donation to the NAACP. Watch Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers’ Quarantine Comes Alive set below:
