For just the second time ever, Joe Russo will present “Hooteroll? + Plus!”, where he’ll be joined by an all-star cast of musicians to honor the music of Jerry Garcia and Howard Wales and others on Sunday, January 12th at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl. The performance comes as part of the NYC Winter Jazzfest.

For the special performance, Russo will be joined by Stuart Bogie, Erik Deutsch, Jonathan Goldberger, Dave Harrington, Kevin Kendrick, and Jordan McClean—the same cast of musicians that gathered at The Capitol Theatre in 2017 for the inaugural Hooteroll? celebration. The Bogie Band featuring Joe Russo will handle the evening’s opening duties.

Garcia and Wales’ jazz-rock fusion project’s Hooteroll? album was released in November 1971. The album features a few musicians who later played in Jerry Garcia side projects including John Kahn (Jerry Garcia Band and many other Garcia-related bands), Bill Vitt (Merl Saunders and Jerry Garcia), and Martin Fierro (Legion of Mary).

An NYC Winter Jazzfest pre-sale begins this Wednesday, November 6th at 12 p.m. (EST) here, which will be followed by a venue pre-sale on Thursday, November 7th at 12 p.m. (EST). Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 8th at 12 p.m. (EST) here.
