Yesterday, Suwannee Hulaween kicked off with a stacked Thursday pre-party that saw performances by Spafford, Lettuce, and alternating sets by Umphrey’s McGee and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. After a long night of music to kick off the weekend’s festivities, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead closed out their nonstop second set with an energized rendition of the perennial crowd-pleaser “Shakedown Street”. This “Shakedown Street” fell after the group’s performance of “Playing In The Band”, which housed a lengthy Afrobeat jam, and a detour through the first verse of “The Other One”.
