Today, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has shared the 107th addition to their long-running “Taper Tuesdays” audio series: a fully mixed and mastered recording of the band’s October 19th, 2018 performance at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA. The performance that night was the first of a two-night run at the Philadelphia venue, and featured a different JRAD lineup than usual as Oteil Burbridge subbed in on bass in place of Dave Dreiwitz.

The performance featured a mix of Grateful Dead fan-favorites in the first set including “Big Railroad Blues”, “Feel Like A Stranger”, and “Estimated Prophet”, followed by a second set filled with longer jams including a 14-minute “Althea”, 19-minute “Playing in the Band”, and a nearly 17-minute “St. Stephen”.

The band also made sure to keep things fresh for the audience with teases of Led Zeppelin‘s “Moby Dick” sprinkled into the mix, and some notable bust-outs of “West LA Fadeaway” and “Quinn The Eskimo”, with the latter making its first appearance in 77 shows.

Listen to the full performance below (recording and FOH mix by Peter Costello, monitors by Aaron Gittleman, and audio edited, mixed and mastered by Eric McRoberts):
