Last November, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead celebrated a triumphant return to New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl for a fundraising benefit for voter registration non-profit HeadCount. The November 25th performance, billed as “Make Democracy RAD Again“, was JRAD’s first headlining show at the popular Brooklyn venue since March 2018, and featured a setlist that was voted upon by the fans.

The band has now shared the official soundboard recording from the November 25th performance, as part of JRAD’s “Taper Thursday’s” audio series.

The band’s sold-out show that night featured first-set performances of “Brown Eyed Women”, “Touch of Grey”, “Althea”, “The Eleven”, and “Eyes of the World”, along with covers of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Atlantic City” and The Allman Brothers Band‘s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed”. For the second half of the show, JRAD returned to the stage to deliver their take on some fan-favorites from the Dead’s catalog, including “St. Stephen”, “Scarlet Begonias”, “Dark Star”, “Terrapin Station Suite”, and “Shakedown Street”. The show came to an end that evening with a high-energy rendition of “Jack Straw”.
