John Fogerty has added an exciting new show to his 50 Year Trip tour featuring Tedeschi Trucks Band and Grace Potter, set to take place at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Sunday, August 18th. The show will fall on the final day of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, at which Fogerty performed with Creedence Clearwater Revival on the same grounds back in 1969.
The performance will come as part of Bethel Woods’ celebration of Woodstock’s 50th, which also includes performances by Ringo Starr, The Edgar Winter Band, and Blood, Sweat, & Tears on Friday, August 16th and Santana and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday, August 17th.
Bethel Woods members will receive exclusive pre-sale access to tickets beginning today, June 4th. To learn more about becoming a member, head here.
Tickets for John Fogerty, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Grace Potter at Bethel Woods will go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 7th at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
John Fogerty himself even spoke about the festival, which has been promoted as the “official” Woodstock 50th anniversary event—though tickets have still yet to go on sale. As he told Rolling Stone in early May, “I wouldn’t want to speculate. I’m just a guy who plays guitar and is ready to show up. It’s not my job to know about the selection of artists or permits. But it’s a shame. They postponed announcing the tickets, and I remember reading a while ago that they didn’t have some of the permits. That just blew my mind. You’d think it would be the first thing you’d do and not the last thing. You got the sense there was some shakiness to this whole thing. But the first Woodstock happened more by people wishing for it to happen than any effort of a great organization.”
Now, however Woodstock 50 shakes out, Fogerty will get his chance to perform in honor of the half-century anniversary of the iconic festival.
