While many Grateful fans have found their way to John Mayer from his recent role in Dead & Company, the guitarist has long been converting music appreciators with his undeniable ability for playing the instrument. One of his most exciting projects is the John Mayer Trio, a group that places Mayer with the incredible rhythm section of Pino Palladino and Stephen “Steve” Jordan.

That band was on hand for the “Great Night In Harlem” benefit concert in New York, NY, playing for the Jazz Foundation of America. Topping a lineup that included Robert Randolph, Robert Cray, Dr. John and more, the show marked the first full length John Mayer Trio concert in over six years!

The band has been working on new music, as rumors have been swirling over their return. In an interview on Entertainment Tonight, it seems that Jordan revealed the album title to be The Search For Everything. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

The show saw Mayer and his bandmates take on blues classics and Mayer originals, like the opening “Every Day I Have The Blues,” “Gravity” and more. Watch a handful of videos below.
