John Scofield Is Playing Both Guitar And Bass For A New Power Trio

Last night, virtuoso guitarist John Scofield posted an image of himself playing both the guitar and bass for a new “power trio.” While details still remain scarce, Scofield’s post reveals that Brad Mehldau is on synths and Mark Guiliana will play drums. Both musicians have impressive resumes in the jazz scene.

Apparently this trio is the real deal, with plans to release new music and tour in May, according to Scofield. We can’t wait!
