On October 11th, a bevy of Vermont musicians will join together to raise money for the third Hug Your Farmer Benefit Concert.  Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Vermont New Farmer Project, which is a University of Vermont Extension program that educates, informs and assists aspiring farmers in Vermont.  Jon Fishman will be joined by a laundry list of performers, including Guster’s Ryan Miller, Ray Paczkowski, Bob Wagner, Joshua Panda, Steve Hadeka, Matt Hagen, and many others.

The music for the event will pay tribute to the Rolling Stones’ 50th Anniversary, and will take place at Higher Ground.  The initial Hug Your Farmer benefits had performers playing an assortment of classic rock covers, while the second paid tribute to the late Levon Helm.
