Legendary musician Joni Mitchell has reportedly fallen into a coma, TMZ is reporting. The news comes just one month after Mitchell was hospitalized, on March 31st, though reports at the time seemed to indicate that Mitchell was feeling better.

Mitchell has been at the UCLA Medical Center for the past month, and now apparently shows “no immediate prospects for getting better.” Her friend Leslie Morris has signed paperwork for conservatorship over Mitchell, who has no close relatives available for that crucial role. According to Morris’s documents, Mitchell is “so impaired as to be incapable of being assessed.”

This is a developing story, and we’ll be sure to update once we know more. Our hearts go out to Joni Mitchell and all of her loved ones.
