Julien Baker was the featured music artist on this week’s episode of CBS This Morning. The singer-songwriter appeared on the weekly program’s Saturday Sessions segment to perform a trio of new originals from her recently-released studio album, Little Oblivions.
Baker’s pre-taped, full-band performances from a Nashville venue highlight her louder, more rock-like sound heard throughout Little Oblivions with energizing live takes on singles “Faith Healer”, “Hardline”, and “Heatwave”. Even with expanded sonic dynamics, Baker holds onto the trademark intimacy and emotionally-invested lyrical messages for which she’s grown to be known since her 2015 debut album.
