Khruangbin has announced an upcoming dub reissue of their 2018 studio album, Con Todo El Mundo. The lo-fi rock trio from Texas announced on Wednesday that the remixed album, titled Hasta El Cielo, is scheduled for a July 12th release via Dead Oceans/Night Time Stories.

Hasta El Cielo will include two bonus dubs by Jamaican producer Scientist. The announcement also notes that Khurangbin bassist Laura Lee learned to play her instrument by listening to Scientist’s 1994 album, Scientist Wins the World Cup.

“For us, dub has always felt like a prayer,” the band also added in a statement. “Spacious, mediative, able to transport the listener to another realm.”

Khruanbgin day-one fans will remember that dubs of tracks from the band’s debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon, appeared on limited vinyl releases of “People Everywhere” for Record Store Day back in 2016, in addition to “Zionsville” on the BoogieFuturo 12″ remix.

The band also shared their first reworked instrumental single to go with Wednesday’s album announcement with a groovy, psychedelia remix of “Mary Always”, now titled, “Maria También”. Listen to the new recording of the 2018 song below.

The band will make their live debut at New York’s Capitol Theatre next Wednesday (June 19th) with a scheduled performance alongside bassist Karina Rykman. The concert will kickstart their summer 2019 campaign, which features scheduled performances at New York’s Central Park SummerStage the following day, and even a show at The Republik in Honolulu, HI in late July.
