Khruangbin and Leon Bridges converge for a melding of styles on their new Texas Sun EP, out today via Dead Oceans.

The four-track EP contains a pair of previously released tracks in “Texas Sun” and “C-Side“, in addition to two new songs, “Midnight” and “Conversion”.

The two artists revealed their collaborative efforts at a concert in Houston last November where they debuted “Texas Sun” and “C-Side” for of a live audience.

The two new recordings showcase that same Khruangbin formula of dream-like instrumentals glided gently along by guitarist Mark Speer and grounded by the rhythm section of drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson and bassists Laura Lee. In this project, however, the band’s instrumentals are brought to life with the help of Bridges’ soothing voice, rounding out the soft sound with a bit more texture.
