Psych-rock outfit Kikagaku Moyo has shared their latest single, “Ouchi Time”, which is now available to stream and purchase via their Bandcamp page. “Ouchi Time” acts as the band’s latest official 2020 release, following “Gypsy Davey” and “Mushi No Uta” which were both shared back in late February.

The song is part of a new “Looking Glass Project” singles series from independent Brooklyn-based label Mexican Summer, which focuses on the human condition as reflected through remote connection. The lively tune opens with a vibe similar to that of an upbeat, retro R&B track before moving forward into more mystic territory for which the band is known thanks to some wonderful sitar licks from Ryu Kurosawa.

“Ouchi Time means ‘time in the house,'” the band mentioned in a statement to go with the song’s arrival this past Friday. “It was a good challenge for us to do everything remotely. We had to learn how to let our mind escape to inner-galaxy, and secretly made strong connections with outer space … We hope this song can help make the time spent in your house a bit more fun and adventurous.”
