Australia’s King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced two massive, career-spanning “marathon shows” set to take place this coming spring. The shows, which will run for three hours each and incorporate material from all 15 of the band’s records, will take place at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on April 18th and at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO on May 6th.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are known for their genre-bending sound, as evidenced by their highly eclectic studio output. The band has released two incredibly different albums this year. Fishing For Fishies, which arrived in April, is a more mellow, groovy record while their August release, Infest the Rats’ Nest, is a ferocious thrash metal set. Other explorations of their sound can be experienced on the garage-rock 12 Bar Bruise, the prog-rock Polygondwanaland, and the minimalist Flying Microtonal Banana. The upcoming shows will merge all these albums together for a can’t-miss rock marathon.
Pre-sale tickets to the shows will be available this Thursday, November 14th at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 15 at 10 a.m. PT.
