Montana’s own Kitchen Dwellers will release a brand-new EP, Reheated, Vol. 1., at the end of the month. The Kitchen Dwellers’ new EP marks the first in a series of EPs dedicated to covers. Reheated, Vol. 1 is Kitchen Dwellers’ tribute to The Band, as the four-piece bluegrass outfit offers up their take on four classic tracks in celebration of the 42nd anniversary of The Last Waltz, The Band’s famed farewell concert on November 25th, 1976.

Kitchen Dwellers recorded their upcoming EP during a brief break in their extensive 2018 touring schedule, and rounded up guest keyboardist Jordan Feinstein to lend a hand on “Get Up Jake” and “Chest Fever”. Reheated, Vol. 1 was recorded and engineered by Mike Scully at Northern California’s In The Pocket Studio, with additional recording sessions at New Jersey’s Brooksound Studio. Reheated, Vol. 1 will be released in full on all streaming services on November 30th.

Guitarist Max Davies explains in a press release, “I still remember the first time I saw The Last Waltz, the greatest concert movie of all time. Something about that stage being lit up and the all-star musician cast that The Band had a history with. It’s iconic. The Band’s storytelling, musicianship, and vocal abilities are what makes them such an influential group to this day. Those are all things that resonate with us and it was a blast to step inside their shoes and learn a thing or two.”

Ahead of The Last Waltz’s 42nd anniversary this Sunday, November 25th, Kitchen Dwellers will premiere a track from Reheated, Vol 1. everyday this week through Thanksgiving. Listen to Kitchen Dwellers’ rendition of “Don’t Do It” below:
