Kyle Hollingsworth has had a busy 2018 thus far. The keyboardist released his fourth solo studio album, 50, in March, supporting the new release with runs of his own in addition to regular performances with String Cheese Incident—SCI kicks off a highly anticipated three-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre tonight, wrapping up the group’s seven-date stint across their home state of Colorado.

However, any fan of the keyboard wizard is also aware of his second passion outside of music: beer. Hollingworth has hosted nearly two dozen beer festivals, which merge his love of live music and beer, inviting breweries to sample their brews to attendees as guests also get down to standout musical performances. Today, Kyle Hollingsworth has announced a new beer festival he will host at Boulder, Colorado’s Upslope Brewing Co. on October 13th, which will benefit his frequent non-profit of choice, Conscious Alliance.

As Kyle told Live For Live Music in a recent interview,

Well, it’s been my trip for a long time. I’ve been homebrewing since I was 18 or 17, and now I’m turning 50, so I’ve been doing it on-and-off all those years. It’s been a passion of mine, and just in the last few years, I’ve started connecting the dots on how I approach my brewing process and my music process. I’m starting to see parallels in how I improvise in both those worlds. You get the basics under your fingers, but then you’re able to riff and improvise over the top.

Dubbed Rocktoberfest, the event will see the Kyle Hollingsworth Band perform in the evening, inviting a number of other special guests to join in the performance. Fans who attend will also get to experience an unlimited selection of samples from more than 60 craft beers from over 30 breweries—including a number of exclusive, collaborative brews from Kyle and brewers. The night will also host an exclusive silent auction benefiting Conscious Alliance, and attendees will be offered commemorative pint cups to remember the evening.

Rocktoberfest will also be offering special VIP packages, allowing VIP ticket holders early entry to the festival at 1:30 pm, rather than the 2 p.m. traditional door time. The package also features a special meet and greet, private brewery tour, and initial collaboration tasting with Kyle, plus a limited-edition Kyle Hollingsworth pin.

Don’t miss out when Kyle Hollingsworth’s inaugural Rocktoberfest benefitting Conscious Alliance takes place at Boulder, Colorado’s Upslope Brewing Co. on October 13th. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 21st, at 10 a.m. (MT). You can head to the event’s Facebook page for more information, and snag tickets here.
