New Orleans-based funk band Naughty Professor is blowing up quick, and with the forthcoming release of an album set for April, this is definitely a buzzworthy band to keep your eyes and ears on. The fast-rising, progressive acid-jazz collective has shared a stage with such highly regarded talent as Galactic, Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten, Rebirth Brass Band, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Revivalists, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Papadosio, George Porter Jr., The Soul Rebels, and many more.
The album, called Out On A Limb, was recorded at Studio in the Country and produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Chris Finney. The band will celebrate its release on April 10 at One Eyed Jack’s in NOLA. Listen to the first single, “Brain Storm,” exclusively here.Â
