Laid Back Festival was started back in 2015 with the help of the late and legendary Gregg Allman, who served as both a co-founder and curator of the traveling music and food event. For its third year, Laid Back 2017 will be hitting three cities in the Northeast — Holmdel, New Jersey; Hartford, Connecticut; and Wantagh, New York — across September 21st through 24th. Appropriately considering the festival’s roots, this year’s edition of the event continue on with a focus on honoring Allman and his vision. Today, Laid Back Festival detailed its lineup, which will see performances by Jackson Browne, Steve Winwood, Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul, Peter Wolf, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Garland Jeffreys, and Scott Sharrard & The Brickyard Band.

The first date of Laid Back falls on September 21st at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Two days later, on September 23rd, the festival will move on to Hartford, Connecticut, where it will take over the XFINITY Theatre. Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York will host the final day of the event on September 24th. While the line-up is mostly consistent across these dates — all three will see performances by Jackson Browne, Peter Wolf, and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band — there is some variation across their lineups. On the first night, Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul will replace Steve Winwood, who will perform the following two nights. For Laid Back’s final 2017 date in New York, a second stage expands the event’s musical capacity, augmenting the line-up with performances by Garland Jeffreys and Scott Sharrard & The Brickyard Band.
