At quite possibly the peak of his career, James Murphy decided to put an end to his wildly popular project, LCD Soundsystem. Wanting to go out on a high note, the band played their largest show to date – an extremely sold out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. A film crew followed around Murphy for 48 hours, starting on the day of the band’s final show, all the way through the following day’s aftermath. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to positive reviews.

Fans of LCD Soundsystem will finally be able to relive this monumental show surrounded by their peers on one night – July 18th – at a slew of theaters across the country. New Yorkers can catch screenings in Manhattan at the Landmark Sunshine Theater, in Brooklyn at BAM Cinematheque or reRun, and in Huntington at Cinema Arts Center.
Tickets go on sale beginning June 18th. For more information and additional cities, check out the film’s official website:http://oscilloscope.net/lcdtheaters/
