Ever since last Friday’s horrific terrorist attack at Le Bataclan in Paris, the music community has been wading in troubled waters. Concerts are supposed to be moments of pure emotion and celebration, and these unspeakable actions have left us with uncertainties. If this happened once, could it happen again?

Fortunately, Le Bataclan co-manager Dominique Revert has given fans a reason for hope. With one line in a new Billboard article, Revert has shown us that can be music a beautiful source of strength for us all.

“It will reopen, no question about it. Hearts will be heavy for a few months, a few years. But we will reopen. We will not surrender.”

The full article tells the history of the storied venue, which has been hosting music in Paris for 151 years, including legends like Buffalo Bill to Jeff Buckley, even DJs like David Guetta and modern pop bands like Oasis. The venue is an integral part of Parisian culture, and its return to activity will almost certainly be marked with great celebration.
