Primus bassist Les Claypool has announced a late-night show during the second weekend of Jazz Fest with his Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz ensemble, set to take place on Friday, May 3rd at New Orleans’ Joy Theater.
Claypool has rounded up an all-star cast of musicians for his upcoming Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz performance, including Galactic drummer Stanton Moore, percussionist Mike Dillon, and saxophonist Skerik. Dillon and Skerik are no strangers to Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz project, as the two mastermind musicians joined the ensemble at 2017’s Clusterfest in San Francisco alongside Eric Harland, Gabby La La, and Fred Armisen.
