The latest installment of Summer Camp Music Festival‘s Around The Campfire video series highlights lespecial‘s set featuring a sit-in from Kris Myers (Umphrey’s McGee). Wednesday’s clip follows fellow 2021 Campfire Stage performances from BOOGIE T.RIO and Saxsquatch.

Arriving in the aftermath of Ween‘s headlining set on Sunday, lespecial provided a refuge to the lingering headbangers. Guitarist Jon Grusauaskas, bassist Luke Bemand, and drummer Rory Dolan began the set with the eerie prog composition, “Snell’s Feet”. The set sees the power trio fire off a number of tracks from its 2020 album, Ancient Homies, before welcoming Myers to the stage.

The Umphrey’s McGee drummer joins in on an intensely rhythmic “Jackwise”, assisting on an auxiliary percussion setup. The video ends after “Jackwise”, but that night lespecial went on to cover Primus‘ “Mr. Knowitall”—hopefully satisfying the guy who yells “play some f*cking Primus!” repeatedly to start the video. lespecial also played the second rendition of Limp Bizkit‘s “Break Stuff” heard at Three Sisters Park that weekend, with the first provided by Andy Frasco And The U.N. The band would fire off one more original, “Tonberry”, before encoring with TNGHT‘s “Bugg’n” to close out the set.
