Lettuce was in Denver, CO over the weekend where the funk band was the headlining act at The Fillmore on Saturday night. Lettuce was joined for one of the last stops on the band’s 2019 Elevtate Tour in support by afrobeat-meets-funk outfit, Antibalas.

Lettuce’s 14-song headlining set saw the band deliver a mix of tunes from 2019’s Elevate, including “Royal Highness”, “Krewe”, and “Purple Cabbage”. The two covers of the evening towards the end of the set included Lettuce’s takes on James Brown‘s “Funky Drummer”, and their previously-released rendition of Tears For Fears‘ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”.

Lettuce will take a well-deserved break from their ongoing tour campaign before starting the funk machine up again on December 31st for a New Year’s Eve performance at The Independent in San Francisco, CA, where they’ll be joined in support by Chris Karns. Afterwhich, Lettuce will begin 2020 with more shows in the United States in January before heading overseas for a European run in February and March. Head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.
