High-powered funk filled the air within the Sherman Theater on Thursday, where Lettuce and Ghost-Note delivered a pair of performances for their Pennsylvania fans.

Thursday’s show was the latest stop for both bands on Lettuce’s Elevate Tour as the Grammy-nominated funk-rock outfit continues to promote their new music off of 2019’s Elevate. Ghost-Note also shared its own mix of new material throughout the evening as the group’s ongoing run of fall shows continues to promote their own recent studio album, 2018’s Swagism.

Lettuce continues its fall tour into the weekend with a performance at the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount, VA on Saturday (11/23). The band’s touring efforts behind Elevate will continue through the end of the year and well into 2020.

Ghost-Note’s next show will see the band team up with Dopapod late next month with a performance leading up to New Year’s at the Salvage Station in Asheville, NC.

On December 30th at New York’s Sony Hall, Ghost-Note will team up with a slew of talented guests for Ghost-Note & Friends Play Prince, a very special late-night tribute to the late, great Purple One. Between bassist MonoNeon, saxophonist Sylvester Onyejiaka, and keyboardist Dominique Xavier Taplin—all former Prince collaborators—the Artist’s pedigree is always well-represented with Ghost-Note.

Joining Ghost-Note as the “Friends” portion of the bill will be Trey Anastasio Band trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), D’Angelo and The Vanguard singers Rojo “REDD” Lavoe and Ahrel Lumzy, and Cory Henry/Childish Gambino vocal collaborator STOUT. This insanely gifted outfit will dive headfirst into the beloved Prince catalog to help NYC party like it’s (almost) 2020. Grab your tickets here and RSVP to the Facebook Event Group for updates and more info.
