Future funk heroes Lettuce celebrated 4/20 at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York with special guest John Scofield.

The “Weed Day” celebration kicked off with a brief set, highlighting their latest single, “Krewe“, which was released on Friday in conjunction with the band’s official announcement of their sixth studio album, Elevate, due out Friday, June 14th via Regime Music Group

After a brief first set that featured a “Whatchoo See Is What U Get” and “Pick Hits” sit-in from Sco, the second, more extensive set kicked off with a vibed out “Trap”, another preview of the new album in “Royal Highness”, and “N’dugu”. From there, the band was joined by the legendary guitarist for the remainder of the performance. Scofield delivered his silky smooth jazz guitar over the band’s cover of Miles Davis‘ “Black Satin”, Lettuce originals “Pocket Change” and “Kron Dutch”, his own “Jungle Fiction” and “Fillibuster”, and of course Curtis Mayfield‘s “Move On Up” to close the set. For the encore, Lettuce and Scofield worked through an extended version of “The Flu”.
