Lettuce stopped into The Caverns in Pelham, TN back on September 13th to as part of their ongoing tour behind 2019’s Elevate. The band’s performance at the smaller, underground music venue that night featured a lengthy rendition of “Purple Cabbage”, one of the new originals that appeared on Elevate.

On Monday, the band premiered a high-def, multi-camera recording of their 13-minute performance of “Purple Cabbage” from The Caverns. This rendition opens up nice and spacey thanks to the eerie and futuristic notes shooting out of Nigel Hall‘s keys and synths. The rest of the band catches up to speed about 90 seconds in, after which the outfit cruises through the remainder futuristic funk track. Watch the performance below:

Lettuce’s fall fun continues with week with the next show scheduled for Tuesday (11/29) at Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT. The band’s touring efforts behind Elevate will continue through the end of the year and well into 2020. Head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.

Recently, Bluegrass Underground, the PBS music show filmed at The Caverns, announced the lineup for its 10th season, which will be filmed on March 27th, 28th, and 29th. The new season will feature Goose, Molly Tuttle, Mandolin Orange, Black Pumas, and many more.
