Live for Live Music is very proud to present The Royal Family Halloween Ball featuring Lettuce and Soulive! This two-night, two-city event will start on Halloween evening in NYC at Terminal 5, and move over to Philadelphia on 11/1 at the Electric Factory. These two bands have a long, storied history in the funk-soul genre, with high-energy, hip-shaking performances that always satisfy… who knows what will happen at the Halloween ball?!

After celebrating their 20th anniversary as modern day rulers of old school funk, the Brooklyn-based juggernaut Lettuce is not showing any signs of slowing. Having blown up stages from coast to coast last year, ranging from The Fillmore in San Francisco to Terminal 5 in NYC, Bonnaroo to Pemberton and all points in-between, Lettuce is poised to continue their rapid growth throughout 2014. You can check out more information about their upcoming fall tour here.

Soulive has never made any bones about what they do best; it’s right there in their name. Since forming in 1999, the trio of guitarist Eric Krasno, drummer Alan Evans and keyboardist Neal Evans has carried the torch for the soul-jazz organ trio—that venerable, funky institution pioneered by the likes of Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff and Groove Holmes in the late ’60s. Rest assured, when the Evans brothers first brought Kraz by their Woodstock studio, there was plenty of old vinyl spread out on the floor.

Tickets for both shows are on-sale now. Check here for Terminal 5; and check here for Electric Factory!
