Led by Hip-Hop mogul LL Cool J, the classic fan favorite groups De La Soul and Public Enemy, along with Ice Cube, will hit the road this summer for a U.S. Tour dubbed rightfully the “Kings of the Mic Tour.”  The tour opens at Tucson, AZ’s Ava Amphitheater on May 23, 2013 and will finish up on July 5th at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.  New York’s Roseland Ballroom date on 6/20 is more than likely to sell out.

The tour looks not only to serve as a dedication to classic Hip-Hop, but as support for LL Cool J’s forthcoming album release titled Authentic which is due out April 30th.  Listen below to the track “Whaddup” featuring Chuck D, Travis Barker, Tom Morello, and Z-Trip which will appear on the album.  Public Enemy are likely to perform material from their two newest albums, both released last year, titled “Most of My Heroes Still Don’t Appear on No Stamp” and “The Evil Empire of Everything.”  Check out the full tour dates below!
