According to the Chicago Trubune, based in the city where the festival resides, the Lollapalooza 2013 lineup will include headliners Mumford and Sons, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and The Killers.  The news outlet also reports that The Postal Service and The National have been confirmed for the bill.  Billboard had announced last month that a recently rejuvenated Nine Inch Nails would also appear on stage at the festival.

Some smaller acts including Imagine Dragons, Angel Haze, SKATERS, Reignwolf, and Wild Club have confirmed that they will be participating as well.  Consequence of Sound reports some rumored artists based on where these artists will be on their current tour at the time.  These include The Lumineers, Tegan & Sara, Pretty Lights, New Order, Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt, Hot Chip, Father John Misty, Ellie Goulding, and Big Boi.

Since The Cure will be appearing at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival the same weekend as Lollapalooza, they stand as a likely possibility as well.  It would beef up the current lineup for sure.  The festival is scheduled to take place the weekend of August 2, 2103 at Grant Park.  You can score an early ticket to the festival next Tuesday, prior to an official lineup announcement which is expected sometime in April.  Stay tuned.
