Lollapalooza has announced its expansion to India for a January 2023 festival headlined by Imagine Dragons and The Strokes.

The new arm of the Lollapalooza festival series, due to take place at Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai on January 28th and 29th, will also feature performances by 40+ other bands across four stages including Greta Van FleetDiploZHUAP DhillonCigarettes After SexJapanese BreakfastMadeonAlec BenjaminJackson WangChelsea CutlerThe Wombats, and more. In addition to a diverse slate of international acts, the lineup also features a number of popular Indian artists.

Aside from Diplo and Cigarettes After Sex, the Indian Lollapalooza event will mark the debut live performances in the country for all of the international bands on the bill. Lollapalooza India marks the first time the far-reaching festival will take place in Asia. Lollapalooza India is produced by Perry Farrell, C3 Presents, and BookMyShow.

With the addition of the event in India, the global brand has grown to eight countries on four continents including the United States, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Sweden.
