It’s almost April, and that means that Jazz Fest is right around the corner. There are so many amazing shows with incredible musicians on deck for the ten-day music extravaganza, it’s hard to know where to begin. One show that stands out from the pack is Fu*k 2016: A Funky Tribute To Artists We Lost, which will take place at the Howlin’ Wolf on Sunday, April 30th. The show will feature a mix of artists, from powerhouse funk outfits Turkuaz and The Motet alongside a slew of special guests like Maurice “Mobetta” Brown and Khris Royal, paying tribute to a variety of artists who passed away in 2016, such as Prince, David Bowie, Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, George Michael, and more. On top of that, The Revivalists side-project RumpleSTEELskin is set to open the night. It’s a crazy lineup, to say the least.

Now, the lineup has gotten even crazier. After the Fu*k 2016 tribute wraps up in the main room, Brooklyn power-duo The London Souls will hit The Den at the Howlin’ Wolf for an intimate performance of balls-to-the-wall Rock ‘n Roll. The Souls are known for their high-octane live shows, with energetic guitarist Tash Neal and virtuosic drummer Chris St. Hilaire having harvested an incredible ability to feed off each other and push each other while on stage. The two players are remarkably comfortable while in the spotlight, and it’s hard to believe that only two musicians can make that much noise. With that in mind, it’s easy to see why The Who have tapped the London Souls to open three shows for them this summer.

One ticket will get you into the Howlin’ Wolf for all three sets of music. Come early for RumpleSTEELskin, rage the Fu*k 2016 tribute set with members of Turkuaz and The Motet, and stay until the early hours of the morning with The London Souls in The Den!
