Lotus has announced a forthcoming vinyl release, Live Underground, due out on January 7th, 2022. This new live album documents the band’s opening set from its July 6th, 2019 performance at The Caverns in Pelham, TN.

July 6th marked Lotus’ first-ever stop at the underground venue, which saw the livetronica quintet perform with a lineup consisting of Mike Greenfield, Luke and Jesse Miller, Chuck Morris, and Mike Rempel—who departed from the band earlier this year, ceding the position to Tim Palmieri. Live Underground will feature seven tracks pressed on red vinyl, five of which have never seen a studio release, including “Shimmer and Out” and “Spaghetti”.

“Planning for the show we wanted to play with the natural reverberation in the cavern,” said keyboardist/guitarist Luke Miller in an Instagram post. “With that in mind we played songs that allowed space for notes to ring and not become a cacophony, but rather add an extra dimension to the music.”

Alongside the 180-gram vinyl pressing, Lotus is also offering a limited edition poster and a high-quality digital download. Head to the group’s Bandcamp page to pre-order the album and poster and check out a full tracklist of the live album below. The entire show is available to stream now via Nugs.
