Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real have shared what will be the final performance as part of their Soundcheck Songs cover series with a rendition of Neil Young‘s “Walk On”, which first appeared on the Canadian-American’s 1974 album On the Beach.

Released on Thursday, this latest Soundcheck Songs installment follows a number of studio performances shared by Nelson and his usual backing band over the past few months, which has included a mix of songs made famous by Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Bobby Charles, J.J. Cale, John Lennon, and Dire Straits.

For the final installment, “Walk On” was selected by POTR bassist Corey McCormick, who also said in a statement about his cover of choice, “It all started here. With this man, this song and this lyric. The love we all share for Uncle Neil is how the band began and is also how we’ve managed to still be here now. So, it wouldn’t be a proper-soundcheck without jamming something from our muse. Every this one and always remember, ‘Sooner or later, it all gets real…”
