On Tuesday night, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real made their way to Jimmy Kimmel‘s Los Angeles studio for a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
For their Kimmel appearance, Nelson and company performed a rendition of “Turn Off The News (Build A Garden)”, the title track from their latest album released in June. The twangy folk-rock anthem is a breath of fresh air, a positive message in these trying times: Sure, there are troubling, confusing things going on constantly, but there’s still beauty to be found in this world. Give it a shot—turn off the news. Nurture life.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’s October touring schedule begins on 10/12 with a performance at Frost Amphitheater in Stanford, CA alongside Willie Nelson & Family (which also features Lukas). From there, the band will head to West Palm Beach, FL to kick off a run of performances in support of Zac Brown Band.
