Lyle Divinsky has released the second chapter of his new Together Wherever remote collaboration series, in which the crooner teams up with new and familiar faces to record music together—in spite of the physical distance between both performers and audiences necessitated by the ongoing pandemic.

On the latest video, Lyle Divinsky is joined by fellow Maine favorites The Ghost of Paul Revere for a take on his original tune, “Risk It All“. The performance begins with Lyle on his acoustic guitar and Jackson Kincheloe providing slide guitar and harmonica from separate video panels to establish the tune’s Americana vibe. After Divinsky and Kincheloe ease into the song’s humbly romantic first verse, Max Davis, Sean McCarthy, and Griffin Sherry appear around a single mic from their own panel to harmonize on the chorus. The heartfelt song goes the extra emotional mile with the added texture from The Ghost of Paul Revere, ensuring you’ll be sporting a tear or two in your eyes by the time you’re done watching.

The timing of this particular collaboration is significant, as well. Almost exactly one year ago today, Lyle joined The Ghost of Paul Revere onstage at the Bluebird Theater in Denver for a performance of “I Shall Be Released”. While a sit-in at a crowded theater show seems like a memory from ages ago, it’s comforting to know that Divinsky and his “Maine men” can still connect and create together virtually.
