[UPDATE]: Barely a month after announcing a slate of worldwide tour dates, Mac DeMarco has canceled his shows planned for North America in November, as well as June, September, and October European dates. The cancellations come as DeMarco continues his work on five easy hot dogs.

“Hello, Mac D here. I need to continue work on five easy hot dogs, I’m afraid I have to cancel some shows this year because of this,” the indie singer-songwriter wrote. Not all of them, but a good chunk of them. Don’t get me wrong, I love live rock and roll music, and for cancelling [sic] I’m so sorry. Once I’ve completed what I have to do, I promise to come and share.”

DeMarco retained his upcoming stop at Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party on Friday, as well as his dates in Seattle, WA and throughout California in August. These include festival sets and Seattle’s Day In Day Out in addition to the inaugural This Ain’t No Picnic in Pasadena on August 27th–28th. Tickets for all canceled shows will be automatically refunded. Scroll down for a list of revised tour dates.
